Barriers to Communication
The barriers to effective communication are the common reasons poor communication exists. Many of these are common in the business relationships between leaders and the team, as well as between team members. Do you recognize any of these?
Understanding Your Audience
One of the best ways to reduce or eliminate many of the barriers of communication is by understanding your audience. By taking the time to look at things from their perspective, you should have a better understanding of what may prevent effective communication between you and them. Think through the list below for individuals or groups you will be communicating to.
With the understanding of the barriers and how to eliminate the barriers, effective communication can be realized. Some times we don't even realize that we are communicating ineffectively until the results are not what we expected.
