You CAN Control Your Results... Can't You?

Results

Can you really control your results? Barring outside influences such as the economy, political winds and the like; you can control the results you seek if you control your actions. As we have heard many times, control what you can and let the rest go.

Actions

You are responsible for and accountable to the actions you take. The sum of your actions are why you are getting the results you are getting today. Where you are, who your with, your income, your daily activities, everything is coming to you based on your actions. If you don't like the results you are experiencing you must change your actions. Actions are driven by our feelings and emotions.

Emotions

Did you know your emotions are ultimately what drives your actions? Sales people know this. That is why great sales people appeal to your emotions versus your logic to get you to take "action". You have the ultimate control of your emotions. I know you may disagree, let me explain.

We have all said things like "they made me angry" or "you hurt my feelings". Let me dispel these thoughts. WE control our emotions by what we allow. Yes, when we allow someone to anger us or hurt us, that is when we experience those things. We have to allow the feeling to well within us and the emotions to overcome us. I'm not saying we should be emotionless creatures. Emotions can be beautiful. What I am saying is that through our thoughts we can harness them properly.

"As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." Proverbs 23:7

Thoughts

Our thoughts are the beginning to everything we experience. With proper thoughts we will ultimately get the results we seek. Every word we say, every action we take, and every emotion we feel starts with a thought. Every great invention, business, book, speech, or act of heroism started with a thought. So does the bad stuff :(.

The way to control our thoughts is by intentionally working on them. We have to do deep work and deep practice on thinking properly. The intentional input we receive into our minds and thought processes is critical. Feeding our mind healthy sources such as reading great books, listening to podcasts, attending seminars, searching scripture and having great conversations, such as in a mastermind; are all beneficial to building a strong mindset.

Thoughts become Emotions which become Actions which become your Results.

"It's a beautiful thing when you feed your mind great stuff".  - Gregory Gray
